Cotton, rayon or crepe? A quick fabric guide
What the fabric line on a product page actually tells you about comfort, drape and care.
Every Buyitwell product page lists the fabric. It is the single most useful detail when you are deciding between two pieces — here is what each one means day to day.
Cotton & cotton blends
Breathable, soft and easy to wash, cotton is the everyday hero for warm weather. Blends add a little stretch or reduce creasing, so they keep their shape through a long day.
Rayon & viscose
Rayon drapes beautifully and feels cool against the skin, which is why it is so popular for kurtis, palazzos and co-ord sets. Wash it gently in cold water and dry it in the shade to keep the colour bright.
Crepe, georgette & polyester
These fabrics hold colour and prints crisply and resist wrinkles — ideal for dresses and occasion wear you want to pack and pull out looking neat.
Denim
Good denim softens and moulds to you over time. Wash it inside out and less often; it will fade gently rather than all at once.
